Last call...

Nearly a month ago, I announced the 3 winners of the business card contest. However, only 1 of those winners ever contacted me with their personal information. I STILL have not heard from AmandaC and/or Iamjusttiff.

Amanda and Tiff, if you're out there, please send me an email at learnmegood2@yahoo.com. I'll give you till this Friday. If I still haven't heard from you by then, I'm going to select 2 new winners from the people who entered the contest.

Thank you and goodnight. :)

We won!!

Last weekend, when the local store had their Free Comic Book Day contest, I encouraged as many of my kids to go and participate. Friday, when I asked who thought they could go, all 31 hands were raised. Monday, when I asked who had ACTUALLY gone, 5 hands were raised.

OK, so my own kids didn't help out too much. Most of them said that they had their First Communion on Saturday. My response was, "And did it last until 10PM?? You couldn't have gone then???" (Not really)

But kids from other grades must have really helped, because we learned yesterday that my school won! We get $250 worth of graphic novels for our library! And our librarian has let ME be the one to go and pick them out!!

This is a comic-junkie's dream come true.

Duh, winners!

And the poll is closed!

Congratulations to the following 3 people for their winningness --

"Janet" -- For the top TWO entries, Mike Untrymann (nearly half the votes!) and Hiram N Firam

"Amanda C" -- For Justin Tyme

"iamjusttiff" -- For Shelby Missed

Congratulations again!

Janet, Amanda, and Tiff, please send me an email at learnmegood2@yahoo.com with your contact info (emails, please), and I'll hook you up with the business cards!

We have a winner!

It's time to announce the winners of the uprinting.com business card and brochure giveaway!!

Thank you to everyone who entered and left a comment. There were lots of great comments, and it was extremely difficult to pick a winner from the group. I'm sorry that I can't give EVERYONE the prize. However, someone had to be crowned cham-peen, and so here we go.

First, the winner of the 500 brochures is Lib. That was kind of a no-brainer. Her comment was so detailed, so valid, and so excellent, that I just had to pick her.

Secondly, the winner of the 500 business cards was much harder to decide. We finally settled on Wendy Mueller and her "caught being good" cards.

Congratulations to both of you! Please send me an email (learnmegood2@yahoo.com) with YOUR email address, and I will send you details on how to claim your prize!

Don't forget, tomorrow is the deadline for submitting an entry to this week's Carnival of Education! Bring your popcorn!
