Learn Me Good: About Me

I used to be a design engineer. Now I'm a 3rd grade math teacher. Conference calls have been replaced with parent conferences. Product testing has given way to standardized testing. Instead of business cards, I now pass out report cards. The only thing that hasn’t changed noticeably is the maturity level of the people surrounding me all day.

I work in Dallas Texas with a very diverse, at times frustrating, at times inspiring group of kids. I also write on the side. Mostly about said kids and my interaction with them. I channeled a lot of my first year in my book, Learn Me Good.

I also enjoy college basketball (Go Duke!), Stephen King books, Lost and 24, and watching Jeopardy -- hope to be on it someday!
