BIG Celebrity Lesson Plan

Howdy, folks!  Last week's Celebrity Lesson Plans with Harrison Ford -- and many others submitted by awesome readers -- proved to be a lot of fun, so here we are doing it again!

This week, I'm choosing Tom Hanks as the teacher, so here is how I think his typical lesson plan would look:

Language Arts --  Write an essay on whether being "Big" is really worth it
 
Math -- Houston, we have a word problem
 
Social Studies:  Cultural legends of East Coast America (notably mermaids)
 
Science --  Don't throw away those toys! The dangers of petroleum-based plastics in landfills

History --    The hell of World War II
 
Social Skills Teachable Moment --  There's no crying in baseball!!
 
P.E. --    Proper care and respect for your volleyball
 
Art --    Earth-shattering, world-changing clues in works by da Vinci, Picasso, and Suess
 
Music --  Practice for PTO meeting -- 99 types of shrimp on the wall
