No Foolery today

Several kids asked me sincerely this morning if today was April Fool's Day. I told them that YESTERDAY was their day to be a fool, not today.

Same thing here! Didn't help the cafeteria put "April Fools!" on the menus for this week, so they kept coming and showing me their 'proof.'

I had a little boy almost in tears today because he so badly wanted to "do" April Fool's day, and I had to keep telling him that it was yesterday, so no tomfoolery was allowed. He was finally placated when I suggested that he write his plan for NEXT YEAR'S April Fool tricks in his journal.
